A theory of white privilege – why racism is not a privilege, but an injustice

Within some parts of the activist movement the concept of White Privilege is quite popular. Let us take a decolonial look at the concept. It was introduced in 1988 by a white feminist from America, Peggy McIntosch, in an article titled White Privilege and Male Privilege: A Personal Account of Coming to See Correspondences through Work on Women’s Studies. A year later she published a shorter version under the title White Privilege: Unpacking the Invisible Knapsack.
